From the Northway (I-87), take Exit 26, go left to Route 9 North, and proceed approximately 2 miles to the campground entrance.
We loved this camp site, it’s wonderful for beginners. Everyone was super friendly and respectful, specially during quiet time. Our site was #53 and we had an amazing view of the lake and the bathrooms were right in front of us which was very convenient. Will definitely be back! 🥰
Awesome stay at Eagle Point! We had campsite #28 and while it was a little small and uneven, we were able to find a spot to put our two person tent. It wasn’t crowded at all. The newly renovated bathrooms and showers are nicer than most hotels! The beach area was great - quiet, clean, and spacious. The camp staff were very helpful and friendly. Will certainly be back!
I stayed for 4 days, the campground and it's amenities were very clean, cleaned regularly, and well maintained. It's located on Schroon Lake for a beautiful sunrise view and close to several scenic hikes.
The lake is beautiful! Nice sandy beaches, clean bathrooms. I had a lovely time camping here!
This is a great campground when we've visited. It's extremely scenic, with beautiful views of Schroon lake.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and they clearly take the time to make sure that the restrooms and showers are clean.
You can rent kayaks for 15 a day, 20 for tandems...what a steal! You can also swim in the lake as well. Showers are on the hot side of warm, and the pressure is low... but it does the job.
The only real downside I can see is for those with campers (didn't apply to us). Some sites are NOT large enough to accommodate larger campers, just make sure your site is big enough ahead of time so you don't wake up everyone at the campground at 130 A.M. (I don't blame that guy, not his fault).
