Loved it one of the best woody open private feeling state parks o have been to in a long time. Must of the sites look huge and have tons of room for you. All and all we really enjoyed this park Ave we will for sure find away back to it.
Quiet, beautiful and great wooded sites. Well worth the drive. At $22 a night it's a perfect vacation spot. Beach sites are awesome...#64 especially. Oh and hot showers too!
I cannot speak of the campgrounds as I only went for the beach.
The lake itself is beautiful however the beach was very underwhelming. The sand was not very sandy at all, feeling more like tiny rocks than smooth, albeit hot, sand. I would definitely recommend water shoes or Crocs. No reason to not go, but be forwarned.
My biggest complaint was with this bird which kept giving me major attitude. I could understand if I had food or something but I was empty handed.
Maybe that's why it was so upset? 🤔😂
