Nice site (#33) and friendly staff. Nice privacy from neighbors. Narrow road and tight boat launch made it a challenge to get around with a 24' RV. Very nice and clean lake.
Disappointing. Piseco Lake is an absolute racetrack of noisy boats and jetskiis. Cars flying down the road the campground is on (old Piseco Rd) made it noisy and unsafe to ride a bike. Campground was okay, somewhat noisy, but that's to be expected when full. Bathrooms were okay. But certainly not the nature weekend I had hoped for. Nearby town (Speculator) not very attractive, just a lot of cars. Seems like the northern Adirondacks is more peaceful and wild.
Beautiful spot. Sites vary quite a bit in size and privacy. It seems the higher the site number, the more spread out they are but that's not true for all of them. Water sites have steep banks and heavy foliage blocking the view and access to the water. The first bathroom is a hole in the ground however the middle bathroom is nicer and well maintained. Plan ahead or you will be driving 15 miles to replace forgotten items, however, its a nice quick drive with plenty of ice cream shops in town.
Absolutely wonderful. Such a little gem of a campground. My siblings and I get our families together every year for a group camping trip and this year we visited Little Sand Point park. If you’re looking for a basic park with great staff you should stay here. Try to get a lake side spot. Note, the showers are across the street so they’re not super convenient but they have signs and a cute little path to them.
Really great campground. A hidden gem. Most sites are on the water with beautiful views. The staff are so friendly and had pots of flowers everywhere, everything was clean, came around in the evening to give treats to my dog and candy to kids. Overall an amazing experience - one of my favourite campgrounds.
