Great campground close to a creek and amazing place to spend a weekend with friends. Clean bathrooms and showers. There is a zinc to wash dishes and campsites are not too close to each other.

Some large sites (20-28) with smaller, tucked away sites, too. A few are more tent appropriate.

Only 1 shower on each side of the bathhouse

Stayed here for 4 nights to access hiking in the High Peaks. Very clean bathroom facilities, pretty quiet and clean. No frills, but that is exactly what we like. We ended up with a really great site- lots of room and fairly flat. Some of the sites looked like there wasn't a lot of room to set up a tent. We will definitely be back.

The campground is just outside of the High Peaks Wilderness - an easy 10-30minute drive to the trailheads.

The campsite itself was nice. It was clean, large enough for a couple of tents and car, had a picnic table, and a stone hearth for campfires.

There is one centrally located building that held women’s and men’s bathrooms and I believe a couple of showers as well. The bathrooms were always clean, had running hot and cold water, and was well stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.

The campground was clean and fairly spacious. There are water faucets scattered throughout for non-potable water. We went on a weekend during the summer, so it was full, and we didn’t hear any noise from our neighbors. However, (and this was a big one for me and the reason I’m rating it a 4) you can hear traffic coming from the nearby 87 highway. When I want to get away camping, I want to go out in nature and not be disturbed by noise, but this noise was constant - day and night. I noticed it the first minute I stepped out of the car for the first time, my friend who had been there several times didn’t seem to mind. For this reason, I’ll likely search for a different campground to try… but that’s just me.
