Always start with positives: The cabin looking walls are nice. The room is clean the staff were pleasent.

The negatives: Real tight for a double, should be a single twin bed room. We booked our trip to visit the north pole with our daughter. We had to cancel the booking the first time because of unforseen circumstances no refund, however booked again and stayed and it was cold thermostat on wall makes you think you can adjust the temp.....nope its stuck at 64 degrees with drafts coming from the door. You can hear everything in this place. I think I just heard a room next door residents fart. They said when we booked it was booked full for the weekend....nope maybe half full. $ 90.00 per night should be around

$ 60.00 realistically. My recommendation book some where else and bring blankets!!!

The people that own this compound have zero decency and respect for anyone but themselves. They are about money, not your family and definitely have zero compassion or loyalty for repeat customers. We have had many stays at the lodge and one at the campground. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting Santa's Workshop. As with many businesses around this country, people are not showing up, not working, etc... Santa's Workshop had to close all October visits to the park, due to staffing. We planned our visit around their schedule. We asked for a refund, and it was a total NO GO. They would not even try to re-book for another customer...., reporting that would be WAY too much work for them! However, if we would like to cancel and receive zero refund.... mind you ($400.00 )they can put it back up as open for the weekend! These people are vile money hounds.

Family has been staying there for many years without an issue. Was there for 1 night 2 days ago. My 3 year old was sick and threw up, with a little on the sheet. Told girl as I was checking out. Today find a $50 linen fee on my card. Called and was told that there was throw up all over the bed and towels and counter and that was the charge. The provided photos showed only the splatters on sheet and a towel that I most definitely did not use. Was told I was a bad mother for allowing this to happen and not cleaning (aka washing the sheets) myself or notifying them. Their story keeps changing, well when I can talk to them and they're not yelling at me, insulting me, or hanging up on me. Will never be going back or recommending them, as we used to so highly do. Looks like this bad mom will find a place more respectful and who actually care about people rather than making a quick buck.

We just spent a full week at the North Pole Resorts the last week of May and through the Memorial Day Weekend. We are full-time travelers with a 40' Class A motorhome, flat tow a Jeep, have 2 kids (ages 8 & 13), and 2 English Bulldogs. We loved pulling in the week before the holiday weekend because there was hardly anyone else at the campground or in the area just yet. It does get packed over the holiday weekend, but was still very enjoyable and quiet at night. We were there right at the start of the season for them. ***Fair warning - Be sure to turn in by the North Pole Lodge Store and Mini Golf to register. We missed it and went past.*** We stayed in premium site 11 in the resort section and loved it. There was plenty of grassy room for the dogs to go out and we had a little cover over our picnic table. The kids enjoyed the arcade and playground being right there. We loved the store as it is one of the best we've seen yet & very well stocked. The location to area attractions was ideal as well. Lake Placid is maybe 20 minutes down the road and you can get groceries and have good restaurant choices too. Would absolutely be back!
