I'll try to be as fair as possible given the fact that this has been an unusually rainy year. Many of the sites here were flooded out and the mosquitoes are intolerable. The campground has a beautiful sports field and the pool and inflatable water slide that the kids went on was more than enough to keep them happy. The sites are tight and the roads very narrow. However despite it all we've had a great time here. You can't beat the location and the management does seem to care about the facilities. Means of communicating through texts is great. We've had excellent cell service and would definitely give it a try again in a dry year.
Just 15 min from Lake George, this campground was a perfect spot to take our family. First the cabins were fully stocked with kitchen utensils and linens. My kids participated in many of the activities available throughout the day, and all the staff was very nice. The pool, playground, restaurant area was very convenient. My kids enjoyed the blowups, especially the water slide. Finally, 2023 has been an extremely wet summer and the beach and tubing area were closed due to flooding, however we didn't even miss it. There was plenty to enjoy without them.
Worked at campground for 6 years. Unfortunately must say a terrible place to work. They say they care about their employees but actions speak louder than words. Management makes promises to seasonal campers but doesn’t follow through. Unfortunately corporate just wants to squeeze all the money they can out of the seasonals and other campers
We loved this campground! We got a cabin for our family of 6 and it went well. The cabin was very clean and the campground was lively and family friendly. They have great amenities such as a pool and a bar on site with dancing. They did movies at night on a big screen with a drive in feel. It's was good old-school family fun all around.
For us the location was great and the value was amazing! But it's not right on the lake. We drove south for a daytime to saratoga which was awesome and there are plenty of things to do locally near the lake itself. We recommend this for anyone who likes campground life.
I camp in a self-contained 25 foot sprinter van and she usually pretty easy to maneuver around the campground but I would suggest that this is a Campground for the returning camper and not so much someone coming here for the first time. It took me three tries to find the dog park. One map showed it behind the office but it was not. One Matt showed it around the corner, but that Way was locked and finally I found, it named not Murphy’s pub but completely different name and we were finally able to use it. They are very cute names on the Mac. I never didn’t understand what they were for and when I arrived, they gave me a map and said have a nice night. That’s fine as long as everything is clearly mark and there are not monster speed bumps as you try to go and find your campsite. When I made this reservation in January, and it is now September, I asked for a full site, but it did not have sewage, and it was on the backside of the campsite, where yes, indeed, the mosquitoes are crazy. I did move the next day which was just an inconvenience but not necessary because I’ve made my reservation so far to be . The people who work here are very nice and the bones of the camp are excellent and very family oriented. However, they are actively selling campsites and I really think they want to return in the camper and not the person traveling through. I have just completed 9000 miles of travel and without a doubt this was one of the most confusing campground in the entire trip , I came here to see the hot air balloon festival and was unfortunately given wrong information along the way. Their shuttle did not go to the location. In all, it was a frustrating weekend, but I had good neighbors and I enjoyed visiting with many of them.
