I came for 2 nights with my friend for hiking+camping. This area is beautiful, close to Lake Placid town and many hikes. Draper's acres is a no fuss, convenient camping location, equipped with clean, private bathrooms with showers and sink. The campsite is for RVs and tents, very spacious with electricity and water. I'll definitely be coming back. I even forgot my makeup bag and Leah sent it back to me by mail! Thank you so much
Unable to make a reservation as nobody returns phone calls or emails as the instructions on their website state. Have been calling since 12/12/23. If we're unable to make reservations soon we will have to go elsewhere as I cannot delay making vacation time off picks at work any longer.
Spent 4 amazing days and nights in a full hook up site (#3) at Draper's Acres - half sun half shade and partioned by trees on both sides enjoying our privacy. Like their website says this isn't resort style camping which is exactly what we wanted. Yes there is some road noise but the location was perfect for accessing popular area destinations. We never had to go far to find anything: grocery store, deli, ice cream, Olympic facilities, plethora of outdoor hiking trails. Check-in was super easy and response time when booking was quick (sent email heard back in under 2 hours). Wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay again.
We brought our own RV but the cabins and bathrooms look well maintained. Everyone has been nice, rules seemed to be followed, and the grounds are well kept. The only issue we had was the baby swing at the playground was broken.
I forgot my contact solution, my husband asked the lady at the desk where to go and she kindly offered to let me fill my contact case with her personal bottle. It was so kind and very much appreciated.
Wonderful place to stay! We will definitely be returning back here. We needed a place to stay during a weekend of hiking multiple mountains in Saranac Lake. The office was very accommodating to our late arrival and extremely friendly. We didn't need anything super fancy, just a place for 3 of us and our dog to rest, shower, and make food. $125 for the cabin was an excellent value. The cabin included electric heat, a microwave, a coffee pot, mini fridge, shower, toilet, sink, griddle, a full size bed, two bunk beds, and a porch with two chairs.
