From I-26: take Exit 67 (old Exit 36) to NC-108 East, to NC-9 North (turn left), to NC-64/74A East (turn right), to Rock Springs Church Road (turn right/bridge), then left on gravel road at campground sign. From Jct. Hwy. 221 West & NC-64/74A go west to Rock Springs Church Road (turn left/bridge). From I-85: take NC-74 Bypass West, to Exit 181, to the town of Ruth. Turn left on NC-64/74A, approximately 12 miles west to Rock Springs Church Road (turn left/bridge).
My best friend and I went for a weekend in September for the dirty dancing festival. We began our trip camping in a tent, but the next day we ended up having to get a cabin! The owners were amazing, sweet and caring. It was super quite and the campground and very peaceful! We have decided this will be a yearly trip and we will return to river creek.
I called the campground to let them know that I will be canceling my reservation for a tent site. After not receiving a response, I called just to make sure they received my email. The lady on the phone said very rudely.,” I don’t do refunds!” I said OK is this listed somewhere on your website? And she said no, it’s at the bottom of your confirmation. I clarified,” you mean I receive this information after I’ve already paid?” And she said yes. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company. It’s a tent site. Not a vacation rental. Even vacation rentals have upfront cancellation/refund policies.
We only drove through the park to check it out but if I had a camper I would definitely stay there! People there are very friendly.
We loved our stay here. It was quite and relaxing. Management was friendly. Cabin 50 was cute and the perfect size for me and my husband. We were just really looking for a place to lay our heads after a day of hiking up at Chimney Rock. So the smaller cabin was fine for us. We definitely will be staying again.
The owner has done so much to the grounds since we have been coming several years. Would love to see more water in river for tubing. Also better access to river with less undergrowth of foliage. We enjoyed our 3 day stay@
