2023- Craft Dictator - My littles woke up early and were so excited to head over to the craft room that open at 10 am to paint ceramics. We were disappointed as we were told we could not purchase any ceramics until 1:00 p.m.— 3:00 p.m. We opted for the free crafts which are limited to (3) and are not very fun. They take like 5 minutes to complete. Also, several folks brought down their pre-carved pumpkins to be entered in for the contest only to be yelled at that pumpkins were not to be brought in until 6:00 p.m. No Halloween Candy Bingo! Botche Ball was closed and the pong table is still broken and has been for 5 years. No buggies were available for rent. Not due to kids playing with them but because the craft dictator would not allow any of the kids to rent them. Haunted House was blah this year! You get hit with rules that are actually scarier than the haunted house because god forbid you don't show your armband. You are more terrified the craft dictator would come out and yell at you!!!

We stayed in what was advertise as a “fully stocked kitchen” not really!!! Um bring a can opener and a knife. The ones they had were dull and did not work. The hot water in the shower ran cold quickly. This defeats the purpose of advertising sleep (6) comfortably when only (1) gets a hot shower. The burners don't work well in the kitchen. The TV signal is bad nothing comes in clear and the wifi is awful.

The location is beautiful and the river will not disappoint. We saw so many trout fishermen out with good catches.

I've stayed here so many times but this year was so disappointing and I think it was due to the new caretakers.

This place is overcrowded and all the tents and RVs are super close to each other. I visited with my family on a labor day weekend and they make me pay for 3 nights instead of 2 nights that I asked. They said “its a holiday weekend and we book for 3 night only, no less”. So I paid for 1 more night even though I didn’t stay there. In the tent area people would walk right in front of your tent, no respect to your privacy even at night. They asked me not to charge my Tesla even though i had a regular 120v charger. I said I understand and I will not but they brought a paper and made me sign it that I wont charge the car. They were coming and checking every night if Im charging the car which was very annoying. Overall I wont recommend this place to anyone. There are lot better places with more respect to privacy and quiet.

Always loved camping here! Had been a loyal camper the 3rd weekend of October for 17 years, and Memorial Day weekend for 4. The last 2 years we've stayed at KOA instead. I just logged on to check if things had changed back to normal, and to my disappointment it had not. I wonder why 3 years ago you couldn't get a cabin in the month of October unless you booked a year in advance. Today when I looked there were 12 with bathrooms left and about 5 without. Guess that says it all! I'll keep checking and WILL for sure be back as soon as things change!

My husbands family has been tenting here for generations. His family as kids grew up going here, him and his siblings as kids going here. We have carried this tradition onto our kids lives as well. We absolutely love tenting here. We choose October because there is something about the fall season here. The Halloween activities are super fun for all ages of children, even teens get excited. We like to tent the riverside sites. Fishing is available and we take advantage of that too. I have seen reviews about being crowded. Yes there are others here, but for us it brightens the experience. (Not too crowded to us) Everyone is friendly and talks. You make new friends and so do your kids. Also I am happy the WiFi isn’t super strong at our site because we go for an internet disconnect anyway and family time. If you prefer WiFi it still works very strong at the front desk/office and they even have coffee there. We have seen others check their phone while grabbing a cup of coffee there. Thank you!

We stayed here this past weekend, me, and my daughter, and my son for two nights on campsite, 124 Riverside and it was absolutely wonderful tons of campsites cabins to rent some of the best bathroom and shower houses I have seen to date very clean. The employees were absolutely outstanding in their job and personalities with greeting and meeting people and helping in anyway possible, my daughter had a broke foot and was on a scooter. They went above and beyond to make sure that she could experience the haunted house, the hayrides and everything I cannot say enough about the employees 10 out of 10 for them. We had a campsite on Riverside and it was absolutely wonderful Park employees always came by every 15 to 30 minutes. Check to make sure everyone was OK great activities and Halloween themed for the kids with trick-or-treating best camping trip this year so far will definitely be back in the future.
