My family and I stayed on site 12 at Emberglow the weekend before Halloween. The site was spacious and had a large green space in between us and one of our neighbors. We had a great time! The facilities were super clean, staff was very friendly and my 4 year old had a great time participating in all of the Halloween events. We had a great stay and will definitely return for another soon!

Emberglow is a stellar up-and-coming campground! The facilities, the accommodations, and the staff are all top-notch. It's a unique place with many different types of rentals from primitive to glamping models, along with full hook-up RV sites (and they are adding a whole new section). The quality of the whole place shows. I'll definitely visit again!

My family and I (me, wife, and two kids ages 4 and 7) just stayed here over the past weekend. This was a really terrific place to stay with kids. It feels like a luxury campground. We rented a trailer and it had the perfect balance of amenities to make camping easy while not taking you out of nature. The campground is large enough to keep the kids engaged in different activities (pool, jumping pad, exploring in the creek) but small enough for us to feel like we could let them explore with a level of independence we wouldn't feel comfortable with at a larger and busier campground. There is a wide range of camping options from tent-sites all they way up to fully equipped yurts and tiny houses. My overall take is that these people have done a great job creating a place that can allow us to go camping without making it so much dang work!

The bathrooms and showers were sparkling clean and beautifully tiled. They look like they're out of a luxury hotel. Showers had clean towels ready for use, and had soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in each one... never seen that at a campground before!

Staff was SUPER kind and helpful. They will deliver firewood to your site if you ask, and there is a food truck that will deliver food to your site as well. We did most of our cooking ourselves, but it was wonderful to know that we had the option to just get something delivered if we were too worn out.

Overall, had a wonderful time. We are already planning our next trip and inviting some other friends to come along. We definitely recommend this place.

Was probably the nicest and most well thought out campground we've ever been to (I've been to quite a few- have been camping since I was a kid). The layout, the extremely unique rental units, the extremely clean bathrooms and showers, the front office store, activities, etc. They put attention to every aspect. Will be going back again in the summer to enjoy the pool and tons of summer activities!

Emberglow is past the hustle and bustle of Chimney Rock/Lake Lure……close enough to easily visit and far enough away to seem to be in the middle of nowhere, which is perfect. This is the nearest campground I’ve ever been to!!! So unique, so much to do (for kids and adults…..pool, hiking trails, camp store, bonfires and endless starry skies). I rented a small yurt and loved it. Loved seeing all the other options to rent! I will be back! Oh, and the friendliest, kindest staff!!
