We’ve been informed by several of our guest that their GPS is directing them to go past our park and make a U-turn. This is not necessary. Please follow the directions below so you DO NOT miss our entrance.
OFF INTERSTATE 40— Take exit #20 off I-40. Make a right at the bottom of the exit ramp on to State Hwy 276 (also called Jonathan Creek Rd). Go 1 mile. You will go past Carolina Cable and a U-Haul dealership on the left. When you see the U-Haul dealership, slow down & turn on left turn signal. Turn left at the median cut across, into our entrance parking area.
FROM HWY 19/23 Take exit #102 for Waynesville & Maggie Valley. Go Northwest on Russ Ave. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto US-19 S/US-276 N/Dellwood. Turn Left on to Hwy 276. Go 2 miles, merge right onto US-276 N. Drive approx. 5 miles, passing Sorrel’s Marathon Station and the Farmers Co-op. Stay in the right hand lane. You will go past Pride RV Resort & Gigi’s Café. Turn on right turn signal and we are the first driveway on the right past Gigi’s Café.
This is the 2nd time we have camped here. The staff is great, very accommodating to our camping group. The restrooms are an A+. Close to good restaurants. Already boomed for next year.
Had a miserable interaction with the Karen running the office who hates people and life. Due to this I can’t speak to the campground itself, but I’ll sleep in a ditch before giving this hole in the earth my money. Stopped to inquire about long term rates, she immediately informed us it was “leaf looker” season and there was no availability. Explained it wasn’t for this season and she became annoyed by the fact that she would have to reference a rate sheet. I was polite, detailed our trailer size and dates we were looking at. She did not care. Essentially rushed us out the door saying “it all depends but we’re full.” Miserable people belong at the DMV, not camping, Karen.
Had a great stay in our RV sites are well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Creekside sites are spot one nice hearing the water ripple. Thanks again looking forward to returning in Dec will enjoy the fire pit even more!
What a beautiful place that has an incredibly helpful staff with very clean facilities. I would go back in a heartbeat when able, theres nothing not to love about this place if you want a little seclusion. Its far enough off 40 not to hear the road noise but close enough it is very easy to get to. I think they had the friendliest staff of any campground I have visited.
My husband and I stayed at site 59 on the river with our friends staying site 60. Beautiful location, enjoyed the sound of the river. Ladies in the office were very warm and welcoming, all the employees were great. Bathroom and bathhouse very clean and were great. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked another stay for summer which was filling up fast and I see why. We will come back for sure. Great place! Lyn and Jay Swygert
