I loved this place so much that I extended my stay. I arrived with no reservation, but Rick was very accommodating and helpful. The other ladies working were also very friendly. The sites by the creek are SO peaceful! Bathrooms are not your typical campground bathrooms, more like a hotel or spa bathroom. Tiled, clean and heated. Tent sites with electric and water and some even have wifi reach also! The hike to the lake is gorgeous and the atmosphere itself is so serene there. I was able to remotely work while enjoying peaceful nature. I can't wait to come back!

One of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed in. They wanted us to have the best spots for what we were camping in. Tents, vans, RTT. Very nice bathrooms and camping spots that is tucked in a valley away from everything but not far off from all the fun in town. Thanks for having me.

We had a great time at the campground. Sites were nice, bathhouse was clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend doing the hiking trail to Fontana while there.

This was our most peculiar campground stay to date - not bad peculiar, just peculiar. We arrived late-afternoon of our check-in date and the office was closed - no big deal as we'd already received our confirmation, site #, and a map via text. To our surprise though, there was not a single other camper on site - and it's a pretty large campground on the outskirts of the most visited National Park in the country! The combination of the closed office and the rather closed looking nature of the campground itself made us wonder if perhaps the online system was automated but the campground had already closed for the season. We called the office, waited on hold for about 5 minutes, and started searching for a new place to stay for the night. Fortunately, we received a call back (based just on caller ID, so kudos to the owner or staff for that!). They assured us the campground WAS in fact open - we were just the only people booked for the night - apparently a quiet time in the Great Smoky Mountains! Though it was a little eery to set up in what felt a little like an abandoned campground, we boondock enough to have decided "why not?!" We also asked if we could just have our pick of the sites and they generously said sure. Once leveled and set we hooked up - only to find the water wasn't flowing (we'd reserved - and paid for - a full hookup site). When we contacted the staff via text we were told the grounds had been winterized and water was off - something we hadn't been notified of when we booked. Nonetheless, a little investigation showed that water seemed to be on for some sites and off for others. We notified them of that and, while perplexed, said we were welcome to take a site where the water was working. We wound up in the site we booked in the first place and had an incredibly quiet (and dark - as in not a light to be found!) night. We'd almost certainly stay again in the future - peculiar experience notwithstanding!

The bathhouse alone earns this place 5 stars. wow, almost like a spa bathhouse. having a hot shower with full force water was amazing. clean, well kept campsites. And on site firewood and ice!?! Just fantastic. And great wifi to boot. you can tell whoever owns this place has put a lot of pride and investment into making this place top notch.
