RV and tent camping, campground host on site.
From Old Fort, NC, take State Rt. 70 east 0.2 miles to campground sign (Curtis Creek Rd./State Rt. 1227). Turn left onto Curtis Creek Rd. and go 4.7 miles to campground.
Great amount of good trails and great amount of different campsites to choose
Loved this campground. The location is great. The creek is wonderful, and the campground host, Beth is awesome. She took good care of us and answered all of our questions. She was a pleasure to speak with. Nearby are beautiful hiking trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls and if you need civilization, the towns of Old Fort and Black Mountain are short drives away. We highly recommend this campground.
Nice little camp spot with clean pit toilets. Be bear aware. Pick up after yourself. Be aware when making reservations that many sites are hike in or one car to park several feet away from the site. Rv sites are close together and parking lot set up. We were there at the very end of the winter season right before they closed for winter. The camp host left before the season was over and the reservation signs were not updated.
Perfect place to get away from things. Quiet, relaxing and completely in with nature! Will DEF be back!
It is a really beautiful place, to be in contact with nature and also to enjoy a lot of tranquility. and to be able to have a moment of relaxation, the installations are in very good condition... I recommend it...
