A cascading whitewater stream flowing out of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Rippling trout runs, sparkling waterfalls, natural swimming holes, mountain trails lined with wildflowers and a mile of the best whitewater tubing in the Smokies. That's Deep Creek, a family vacation paradise in the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina.

We came for a long weekend, and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Our family of six stayed in one of the cabins by the creek, and it was perfect. The playgrounds for the kids were really nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The location of the campground is great, and just five minutes away from downtown Bryson City. We will definitely be coming back!
My 8 year old daughter said it was the best camp ground we've been to. We stayed at the camp ground and tubed all day and she played at the park in the evening. Then we enjoyed hand scooped ice cream.
After having a wonderful experience tubing we needed to take showers. They offer shower for $5 per person. However the showers were a little dirty. Definitely need shower shoes. But you should absolutely go to rent a tube and spend the day on the river. Well worth it. Most fun I’ve had in a while.
This campground it's the most beautiful campground. It offers playgrounds for the kiddos a little goat farm. The cabins are completely and fully furnished and are clean. The laundry and bathroom areas are spotless. You have a choice of waterfront site or mountain view site. The staff is friendly and the camp store is well-stocked. There's plenty of wildlife to watch and the changing scenery of the mountains is what we enjoyed the most.
This place is sensational. It's on the river that you float down. If you forgot anything,
they have everything you need inside the store, including water shoes. It's 10min away from downtown Bryson City and the loading for the Great Smokey Mountains Railway. I did tent camping. The tent sites do not have tree coverage, however the river's edge does for shade. There are picnic tables and a grate for the firepit. There are cabins here as well.
