About Campground

Perched high among the pines, at approximately 2300 feet elevation, in the quaint Kirklands Creek Community, sits our peaceful piece of paradise. Although our location is off the beaten path of Bryson City, we are just moments away from all area attractions.

This campground is under new ownership. The new owners are diligently working to update and renovate the entire park in order to bring it back to its glory.

This was one of my favorite campground! The cabins were all nice and clean. The kids loved to trout pound it was right outside our cabin such a beautiful view to wake up in the morning! The dogs LOVED it we brought two Golden Retrievers and my Yorky they had enough room to move around and play! Me and my family would definitely recommend!

Amazing facility, quaint location, extra-clean bathhouse. We camped on one of the campsites and Jason was so welcoming and hospitable. If we’re back in the area this would be our pick for a safe, pleasant, trustworthy campground. Electric setup and trash can at the campsite, too! And we loved hanging out with the mascot; Lilly the cat. It was a wonderful experience overall.

We had a beyond incredible stay here! Jason, the owner, was so kind, generous, helpful, and hospitable. He even helped my partner catch and clean a fish from their abundant trout pond for our campfire dinner. We chose a primitive tent site located between the creek and the trout pond, the water made for peaceful evenings and a calm morning where I did yoga right beside our tent and the creek. In addition to the primitive sites there are a variety of other options that would please anyone, clean and comfortable cabins and RV and tent sites with electric and water. The bath houses were so clean and were cleaned regularly with multiple private toilets, showers, and changing spaces and a highly functional and clean laundry room. Jason even gave guests fresh eggs from his chickens and provided necessities we had forgotten. Far enough in the mountains you are secluded in serenity, close enough to town you can pop down for a meal, shopping, outdoor activities. Jason has great recommendations! We will always stay at Kirkland when we are in the area and can’t wait to come back with the entire family to enjoy the pool and family area with games and seating. This is hands down the best campsite I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail they have given the place does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for the amazing experience Jason, Christian, and the staff, and the entire serene energy the place gave us.

This campground was exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet and quaint. The bathhouses were clean and spacious and had electricity so the ladies can blow dry their hair. The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. There is a small stocked trout pond that you can fish. They provide the poles and bait and will even clean them for you for a very small fee. I will definitely stay here again when back in this area. Thanks Kirkland Creek Campground!

Had a wonderful stay at Kirklands Campground! The owner was so kind to accommodate us with our late arrival after driving around for hours with no luck finding a spot. Our site had fresh spring water, electrical hookup, and was right on a little creek! They have the sweetest animals — a super cute farm dog, cat named Lily, and chickens and roosters. Also extremely clean bathrooms and hot showers. Highly recommend this campground if you’re in the area!
