It's a really nice area by some awesome trails and an interesting town.
As the crow flies it's going to be as close as you can get to where North Carolina South Carolina and Georgia meet
For the adventurous, this dispersed camping is great. The gravel road is well maintained, the sites are very nice and peaceful. There is a little stream for water. On a Friday night in late July there were multiple sites open.
Very nice and secluded. Picnic tables, fire ring, lantern post. No fee. First come first serve basis. 10 or 12 campsites. 2 wheel drive fine. Nice forest service road.
