Take I-64 East from Louisville (approximately 40 miles) or I-64 West from Lexington (approximately 60 miles). At Shelbyville, take EXIT 35 (Hwy 53 North) to first traffic light (US 60) - turn RIGHT, drive to stoplight at Shelby County High School (on left) - Turn LEFT at light (onto Rocket Lane) - go to end of this road - at STOP sign - Turn RIGHT onto KY 1779 (Benson Road) continue until you cross a concrete bridge. Just past the bridge turn RIGHT at first road - this is the entrance to Guist Creek Marina & Campground.
Staff are very kind, feels like a small tight community. Prices for rentals are ideal. However, water is very murky and packed with anglers on the weekend no matter the time so just be aware that fish are pressured

Family member reserved a pontoon for the afternoon and when we came to go out they rented to someone else. So much for honoring a reservation.
Really sad I didn't hear about this place sooner, but now that I have it's become my top spot to grab a burger. Kayaking the lake, best burger around, cold beer, and a beautiful view of the lake from the outside deck. I mean, do you really need another reason to go? The menu has things I can't wait to go back and try.
Great Food!!! Great place to relax, staff was very friendly. Will come back to rent a pontoon for sure!
Marina and the ramp are excellent. It seems like the fishing pressure has tripled in the last 3 years. You can still catch them but have several locations picked out.
