Cost $3 per person to enter. Area is only open Wednesday through Sunday from dawn to dusk. Very pretty area!Campground area is large with primitive camping, sites with water only, and sites with water and electricity. Tons of different hiking trails.

Abandoned restaurant, really cool to look at. There's a lot of broken glass. The view of the river is awesome. There is so much to do with this place. If you drive on down you can find the blue hole which is beautiful place to swim and fish. Not very popular so it's gorgeous. After you park it's about a half mile easy walk to the creek .

The more popular spot is also beautiful kids were playing in it and swimming and people were having picnics. It was a busy place and everybody was having fun and laughing and splashing.

This is a nice little hidden gem just outside of SW Louisville. Never crowded, a clean Cree to wade in, well maintained hiking/horse trails a a cheap to stay at campground. I'm surprised this place doesn't stay busier given it's beauty and close proximity to a major city. The park is generally neat and well maintained, but they must be struggling for funding since there are buildings just being left to rot. A real shame. This place has so much potential. There is a beautiful convention center overlooking the Ohio River that would make a great nature center. It's sat empty for so long, kids started breaking out the windows and it looks like there are no plans to do anything with it. If you're looking for some quiet time in nature, I highly recommend checking this place out.

We went there camping and had a good time. The camp sites are really nice and plenty of trees. The showers are in good shape and for the section we were at, there were two close by. The only minor complaint would be that some of the individual camp sites could be marked a little better. We also went to Bernheim Forest which was about 30 minutes away and I recommend that also if you get a chance.

These campgrounds are very well kept. Slightly off the beaten path so it's pretty quiet unless you come across our mystery drunk yodeler! 🥴 🤣🤣

It was so funny I wasn't even upset. Can't wait to come back again for another visit!
