Pros: absolutely beautiful place, excellent customer service, charming lodge, lake view with a balcony, great pool, decent breakfast, and game room. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

Cons: Outdated rooms with no mini fridge or microwave, pillows were way to firm, and bed was to hard for my liking. Also we stayed on a Monday and their diner wasn't open for lunch/dinner and it's about a 15-20 minute drive to find something to eat.

For those seeking great fried catfish and fried green tomatoes, this is worth the drive. Hours and days open vary call ahead to assure that it’s open. A beautiful drive down winding country roads to reach your destination. You can attend a conference, go fishing, stay at the lodge, get a meal, visit the gift shop, or relax in the spacious lobby while someone plays their piano. The restaurant has lake views if you arrive early. The staff are friendly and courteous. Highly recommend. We are repeat customers, making this a routine stop with friends and family when we come from out of state for a visit. If you aren’t in the mood for catfish, their burgers and BLTs are great!

A beautiful park for hiking and enjoying nature.

The lodge is comfortable and clean and the balcony on my room faced the woods and I could see the lake. I went in November so I cannot comment on the pool and all the summer attractions but it was perfect hiking weather. They have biking trails and horse trails in addition to hiking only trails. The lake is beautiful and there is a marina where you can rent boats and kayaks. The staff were very nice and they even have a free breakfast with hot and cols selections. A pleasant surprise.

Everything was great, the bed was so comfy and had nice clean bedding. The room was nice and clean and the view from our room was beautiful. The lake was frozen and covered with snow but it was still really pretty. I highly recommend eating at the lodge. They have the best catfish and fried okra I've ever had.
