Enjoyed the vacation, the facilities were ok but it felt a little run down. If you enjoy vacationing at the Gorge this retreat building works, and is a good spot for 15-25 people; but some of the beds need replaced and the building needs some maintenance. We still enjoyed our stay not sure if we will return and use the retreat again.

Can’t speak about this woman’s cabins for rent but I wouldn’t trust her to officiate your wedding. We were told that she had an officiant to marry us but ended up just being her that did it. She didn’t have our vows written down and decided to use her phone to read them. As she started to read from her phone, it began to get notifications and she had to start over. Very embarrassing for us. Not only that, we were also told we could use her refrigerator at the property that we rented for our wedding. She failed to tell us that the day before our wedding that she turned the power off overnight thus making the refrigerator hot and unable to keep beverages and most importantly our wedding cake cold. The property was really nice and the price wasn’t as expensive as others in the area but Susan isn’t very organized or honest. I’d highly suggest getting your own officiant and having your own plan together for your wedding because she isn’t very helpful.

This place is gorgeous, and the quirky nature of the cabin gives it a fairy tale vibe. We rented it for our wedding and it was a fantastic weekend.

The building could definitely use some modern updates and more frequent deep cleaning, but everyone involved had a fantastic time.

I would recommend inspecting the place before settling in for the weekend, just in case the owner needs to come by and make some last minute adjustments.

The owner is amicable and will respond if contacted. We had some issues that I had originally posted, but after a brief discussion with the owner, a solution/remedy was found

Susan is really nice and helpful. However when I stayed at Miguel's in the bedrooms, I was disappointed. Even though there is a cleaning fee, there are cobwebs above and below the beds, ants crawling around the floors, and we have to stop off our own sheets

We rented a large cabin, while the location is pretty nice, and the cabin is whimsical and interesting , it was quite dated and needs a ton of work to really make it worth the high cost. We had a lot of issues with the water quality coming out of the tap as well as pretty strong smell of sewage because of all the rain and they said that maybe the septic tank needs to be pumped. Overall there were a lot of things that could have been improved to make the stay more enjoyable, the kitchen could use a refresh of utensils, knives, silverware and pots and pans. There was a lot of trim missing here and there like in the bathrooms. Bathrooms did not all lock reliably and one didn't even have a door. Getting in and out of the building was pretty treacherous, the driveway needs a lot of work to make it more approachable, it looks like it doesn't have any culverts to allow the water to flow when it rains. So you get a lot of sunken periods and it makes it very treacherous with anything other than a four-wheel drive. Parking was not quite wide enough for more than four or five vehicles and it was uncomfortable trying to turn around and not go off the mountain. The penthouse area while nice was very disconnected from the rest of the house with only outdoor stairs leading to it, the stairs were a little bit uneven and that uniform so it was a little treacherous as well, the railings were wider than the stairs so it made it hard to hold them for support. The front rock stops to get into the main house were uneven and easy to trip on. The hot tub water was extremely filthy when we arrived and even after emptying and refilling it did not clean up very well, probably need some work on the filter system. At the end of the day I would say even though the host was quite responsive and did come and address the water, at least, they should have prepared better for our large group before we arrived and seen the water and septic issues before we were even there.
