The resident that we had to pay wasn’t even there. So we had to unload our boat and sleep in it because we live far from there. Please just set up a toll job or something there if your not going to be there. They also didn’t have a dock just a ramp that you had to load your entire truck into to get the boat in.
This is our first time camping at Craven's Bay. We really love it. They have flush toilets and water spigot. No electric hookups so bring your generator. It is about 6 miles off the main LBL road, so be sure to head to the store before arrival. They do sale ice here. $2 for a 10lb bag and $4 for 20lbs. Great place to bring kids to have a day or weekend playing in the water. Highly recommend
So many sites! Peaceful on the water. A lot of trash around our site, that was the only bummer. Toilet was clean.
Great campground if you want to be secluded from everyone else. Easy access to the lake with great views. All non electric sites is a drawback because you have to hear generators all the time, but I'm sure that's one of the reasons it doesn't get overcrowded like all the other campgrounds anymore.
Just don't let your dog off the leash. Grumpy camp host.
