We stayed twice one wood site and one water. Water site smaller but great view. nice clean sites. Lots of family fun. Loved the friendly staff, snack bar was nice. One draw back lack of hot water at showers. Beach and pool maintained nicely.
I have been going to Alpine Lake since the early 90's, when they had Alpie and Woody, the dinosaur statues and the forest animal covered garbage truck. I now bring my own children because it is a great, safe place for families. As a child, I utilized their tent sites, then upgraded to RV sites by the lake. Now, I stay with my 8 and 7 year old in a cabin. I gave the accommodation four stars only because we stayed in thecabin and our carbon monoxide detector went off two nights in a row. The first night at 11pm, which we just reset and ignored. My children were a little scared, but overall we slept with the windows opened and thought nothing of it. The second night, the carbon monoxide detector went off at 4:15am and we didn't ignore it. The local fire department and ems came within 8 minutes and made sure we were safe. They were also quiet so as to not disturb the sleeping campers around us. The staff at Alpine Lake made sure we were ok and gave us free items for the remainder of our trip to accommodate us. We would have liked a few nights off or a credit for next summer as we return every August. Overall though, the resort is amazing and Justin, the activities director, really provides a fun experience for everyone each weekend. We can't wait to go back next August!
I mean I brought my own room so idk how to rate that. Justin has completely changed the vibe of the campground and has made it so fun every weekend. I actually look forward to the activities on the weekends. Also Adam and Barb down at the food shack make such great food and are so welcoming. Sometimes I think they’re the only reason I eat a vegetable while here.
I’ve been coming to Alpine Lake since 1976 and have been a seasonal camper since 2002. It has gone through a lot of changes in that time. Some good, some not. But the best change has been Justin, the Social Events Coordinator. Justin has planned lots of fun activities for both kids and adults. Kayak races, candy bar and lottery ticket BINGO, wine tasting, paint and sip, food trucks and vendors, movies nights, bands, DJs, themed weekends, you name it. He has made camp so fun and has provided lots of entertainment. We look forward to what he will do next year.
