In Southeastern South Dakota: 11 miles south of Beresford off I-29, Exit 38.
Small, tranquil campground with plenty of trails to hike or ride bikes. (Horse trails as well, but we didn't utilize those.) Kid and pet friendly - no complaints or issues for responsible parents and pet owners. Best campground hosts EVER! The couple hosting are military vets & take care of the grounds as one would assume - meticulously. They are super friendly, check to see if you need anything or have questions, host coffee in the morning on weekends, and are never curt or rude when making the request to turn down your music at quiet time. :) Our group is already planning our return visit! This is a hidden gem to the credit of the hardworking hosts! Thank you so much!
We had a great time this past weekend at Union Grove. There was shade on our spot (19E) and a communal spigot! It was a very hot weekend so we did add more shade with our tarp off the van.The bathrooms and showers were very clean, even the pit toilets weren’t bad at all. We could tell this was a very well cared for campground. The campground hosts were very welcoming and fun. We loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere! Great views of the sunset. Check out the trails! We’ll be back for sure.
6.19.23 - 6-21-23. Very nice relaxing peaceful campground. Level site (14), most RV sites looked level. Good amount of shade and green space around site. All sites are close to very nice restrooms, which are separate all in one bath/shower. Nice 4 mile hike with half sun and half shade. Nice place to relax for a couple days.
