The best campground in Custer! Bill and Nancy were phenomenal campground hosts. You can’t beat the stunning lake views and Buffalo sightings. Very clean bathrooms and dog friendly.
We stayed 2 nights at a Legion Lake Cabin. The sleeping cabin had a main room, bathroom and a sleeping loft that our teenage son loved for his own space. I would have given 5 stars but there was no mirror in the main cabin - just in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great.
Our camp hosts were the sweetest people and were very knowledgeable about the park when we asked a few questions. The campground was spotless as were the bathrooms! The sites were level which made pitching our tent for the first time an easy task. With a fairly central location in the park and right across from Legion Lake, you couldn't ask for more!
