In Central South Dakota: 4 miles east of Pierre of SD Hwy 34.
3 Stars due to flies. Campsites along the river were great, spacious between sites, flat, level gravel spots. Movable picnic table. Only reason for 3 stars is the fact that there is a fly infestation. Im sure the grounds people could do something to keep the fly population down. Campers next to us had a screened in pop up and they had a fly swatter that sizzles the flies in side the screened in pop up and it was full of flies since all we heard were sizzles while they were inside it.
Make a reservation if you can but it is a great place to kayak or just play in the water. The mosquito's are pretty bad in the evening in August when we were there. It is fun though.
Great little campground. We stayed for 1 night. Just passing through. Right on the river, our dog was very happy.
