Roads open seasonally - call in advance if season is questionable
Just outside the Badlands National Park in Scenic, SD you will find this wonderful B&B. I found it looking at Google Maps for a place to stay near the Badlands without a bunch of light pollution and this fit my needs perfectly. Incredibly hospitable host, quaint room, amazing grounds to walk around made this a wonderful experience.
I especially enjoyed meeting the other folks spending the night. There was a board just inside that listed the names of everyone staying and it made you feel even more welcome. Breakfast was sooooo good. I had fresh farm eggs, fresh biscuits, melon, sausage links, and a fresh fruit smoothie. Heaven. For dinner you are on your own but I had come prepared by purchasing a sandwich and chips before arrival. Ate it out on the back deck looking over the horizon. Sunset was to die for.
Well worth your time to spend a night or two here if you will be in the area.
We had a wonderful stay at Amy and Phil’s guest ranch. The view is wonderful and so peaceful. Breakfast was just amazing! We loved our time at the Circle View Guest Ranch!
Best experience on our trip! This is not a Bed and Breakfast, it is so much more. Amy and Phil are the most amazing host and hostess. Their children are welcoming and kind. Breakfast was so super delicious. The views are amazing. I could sit on the deck all day and night and just relax.

We had a beautiful room for our 3-night stay in August. Philip and his sons were lovely hosts. And the breakfast-what a spread! Dining with fellow guests each morning was really enjoyable.
We truly felt as if we were ‘at home’ when returning to the ranch each day after hiking in Badlands National Park.
We made use of the guest kitchen and their grill on 2 of our 3 nights. The view from our room was beautiful and the proximity to the park could not be beat.
We also met some locals at Badlands visitor center who were so happy to hear we were staying at the ‘ranch’ with the Kruse family. Thank you for a very memorable visit!
My wife and I stayed here for only one night, September 27. It felt like we were coming home as we pulled into the long drive going up the hill to the ranch. We came in checked ourselves in to check ourselves into our beautiful room and then went outside to enjoy the night sky. We could hear coyotes in the distance, and I'll tell you it was spectacular. We both slept well and got up the next morning to a beautiful sunrise and a fresh homemade breakfast.
Before we left, we browsed through the little gift shop and bought some coffee mugs and beautiful polished rocks of the sons had done.
I am already planning a trip for June, I hope.
These folks know hospitality! I've been in wonderful hotels in many different countries but this is special.
