The playground itself was great, kids loved it. I loved the view of the hills and water and my dog and I enjoyed the hiking trail.
We've stopped at Oacoma so many times but never took a moment to relax by the river! Just a few blocks away is a great picnic area. I stopped on my way home to eat, stretch and look out at the water. Beautiful evening. Bathrooms are nothing fancy (haha) but got the job done.
Beautiful place, but locals drive though here every hour with modified trucks, driving dangerously close to people and flinging mud. The road was pretty torn up from them, and it scared my kids. I waved and tried to be friendly, but they did not stop. Every hour or so, tearing through here, bouncing their engine off the rev limiter. From mid afternoon until after dark. There must not be much for them to do in this town.
We were looking for a spot to stop on our way to Keystone and this park fit the bill. We were able to get out, use the facilities, and stretch for a bit. The kids loved playing on the playground equipment they were having zucchini blast races later in the day that we were bummed we were going to miss. Maybe next time
