Explore the beauty of **HTR Black Hills** (formerly American Buffalo Campground). We offer something for campers of all ages, so if you are looking for the perfect location to Nestled under tall pine trees, in the heart of the wonderful Black Hills, our on-site recreational facilities include a heated swimming pool & hot tub (open Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting), mini golf, a playground area for children, basketball court, horseshoe pits, and wooded walking trails.
We only got to stay at this site for one night on our way into Custer South Dakota in September of 2023. The site was absolutely beautiful, and the check in people were so nice. They allowed us to stay an hour and a half extra the next day which helped us very much. When we have more time we will definitely be back to camp at HTR.
Very clean, great location, scenic, friendly. My husband and I rented a cabin and traveled with our friends who pulled a fifth-wheel from Michigan. Great place to accommodate various types of travelers. Don’t think you could go wrong staying here.
Outdoor pool. Laundry room, snacks and coffee in the lobby. Very friendly staff. We needed a fan for our room and the staff located us one and it was brought to us within minutes! The bed was comfortable and very clean. Along with the entire cabin
Our toilet in the cabin wasn't working that good. The cabin kitchen was really small and the stove top was mini and didn't work that good. Overall it was okay to stay there but I've stayed in much better places for the same price point. I didn't like the location either because it is right off of a busy road. But we still had fun and made the best of our time.
