Location for the sites were great for visiting the attractions in the area. RV sites were a little close together. Bathhouse was clean and well taken care of. WiFi did not work great. It was a little hit or miss.
We just arrived yesterday but have to leave a review immediately. The campground is immaculate. Inside and out. The location is perfect. Even though it is right on the road it is very peaceful. It is much better than the large campgrounds on the main road. The 1880 steam train runs right by the camp and isn't disturbing at all. It only runs during the day and everyone waves when they go by. Adds great atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere there is a roaring brook right behind our camp site I slept like a baby. The staff is sincerely friendly to the extreme. Big mistake if you come to Rushmore and don't stay here.
Large spots surrounded by tall trees, large rock formations, and a small creek. On the road but pretty quiet. We had a picnic table and grill. Small heated swimming pool was awesome for the kids. Got dinner and breakfast in town, 5 minutes drive down the road. Clean bathrooms with showers. Overall, very nice.
We camped here for five days. It was pretty quiet the first three but got pretty busy on the weekend. The camp spots are not very private but there are a few which are first come first serve which is what we needed. They were close enough to the restroom to be convenient. The bathrooms and showers were very clean for a campground. They got a little crazy by Sunday night, but Monday morning were clean again. There is a laundry area too. They have a pool for the kids, which we didn't have time to use, but it seemed popular. I would be willing to camp there again.
