The park is less than two miles south of Paris, Va., via U.S. Route 50 to Route 17 South; or seven miles north of I-66, Exit 23 on Route 17 North. The park entrance is on State Route 710.
By far the most beautiful state park I have visited in Virginia. The varied topology and splendid lush green meadows comforts the feet like a carpet. There are plenty of trails, we started on the Piedmont trail followed by the North Ridge trail to South Ridge before merging back to Boston Mill Road.
The entire experience was a WoW.
Pictures do not do justice, so do visit the park and enjoy Nature at its best.
Beautiful park. quiet and clean. We love taking food with us to have small picnic there
Absolutely on the beautiful and varied side of a state park. The elevation makes it special on the east coast. It's well manicured, clean, and very pretty.
Nice scenery , good hiking opportunities. Used to be great for wildlife and bird watching. Now the cattle have taken over the parks Natural Area where the bridal trails are located. The smell is repulsive. Unleashed dogs are a nuisance. There is a need for trees in the picnic area which is an open field. Definitely needs improvements to bring it back to previous standards. Definitely going down hill.
Really nice work with plenty of trails. Took in a short run on the trails just before dusk and was not disappointed. This park has a very well marked 5k loop as well. There are a few ways to access the park I entered along a dirt road that ended in the park at an old homestead.
