This campground is great! It’s owned by a sweet, down-to-earth family. Their hospitality is unmatched. The location is beautiful, with camp spots right on the river or a short walk away. I love that they run shuttles up river - everyone knows what a pain setting shuttle can be. But these guys will do it for you! And if you don’t feel like bringing your own canoes, kayaks or tubes, they have them available for rent. Again, and above all else, the hospitality is the winner. 👍👍
The best primitive campground I’ve ever been to! It’s easy to navigate, has showers with hot water, lots of beautiful scenery, and the family vibe is unbeatable. The owner is present and cares very much about this place and it shows. You can see the improvements being made everywhere along the property- from picnic tables to newer and better bathrooms. The river float was great and well organized! They just added a beautiful, new event space and were gracious enough to invite all the campers in for hot dogs during the day- how fun! If I wasn’t already married, I’d totally choose this place for the wedding, haha. We are so grateful to have discovered this hidden gem and can’t wait to return! Thank you, Eric, for such a memorable experience!
This is a very nice campground. The issue is the bathrooms they are outhouses that are in my opinion not properly maintained. They seem clean but the amount of flys and the smell from the not properly maintained poop box was horrible. They had porta poties just plastic wrapped by the wood shed would have liked to just use one of those. If the bathroom issue was fixed I would camp here again.
Really wanted to give a 5 star but the gravel path that leads to this camp site was tough, my tires almost got damaged. The road condition was bad. So if your tires are not in the excellent condition, be careful. Other thing that annoyed me is that my camping neighbor was not cool. They still have their loud music on way after 10pm, they eventually shut it down at midnight but continue to make unnecessary noise until 3am. The camp admin should send some one to go check on the campers after 10pm. What's a point of having a rule and not enforcing it. People nowadays don't give a f about the rules unless there's enforcement. The last negative point for me is the restroom. My kids couldn't handle the toilet when you can see a whole compartment underneath the toilet seat filled with "you know what". We ended up taking a drive to a nearest store for bio break which is not very convenient. Other than that, the place is very nice, cozy and somewhat beautiful
Great overnight primitive camping spot. We enjoyed the location and property, and we’ll probably come back to stay again. Sites are all spacious but hit or miss on whether there’s a flat spot for the tent (at least for the spots in the 30s). Pit toilets were…pit toilets, nasty and full, but otherwise well cared for. We enjoyed walking around the property and down to the river. Very kid friendly as there were lots of families and a couple scout groups when we visited.
