I rented a campsite for the three-day Festival my campsite was okay given the situation I was next to the dumpsters lol but I did manage to get the last sight available for that weekend so I'm not complaining too much only that the guy came to dump the dumpster at 7:00 a.m. in the morning kind of woke me up lol but that's okay the people who run the campground are great they did the best they can to accommodate probably a larger than usual crowd my only drawback was they could have did more maintenance as far as the outdoor toilets were concerned they kind of got filled up really quick and there was a an adventure to go in there and use it sometimes but that's understandable the line for the showers was kind of an adventure but giving the situation I understand can't wait to come back again I hope they do another festival I would definitely book another site but this time next not next to the dumpsters lol

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this campground right on the water, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The location couldn't be better – waking up to the calming sounds of the waves and being able to enjoy stunning sunsets right from my campsite was a true treat.

The staff at the campground were incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment I checked in, they made me feel welcome and were always available to assist with any questions or concerns. Their warm hospitality added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

One of the best aspects of this campground was its affordability. Despite being located right on the water, the cost of staying here was surprisingly low, making it a perfect option for budget-conscious travelers like myself. I felt like I was getting a fantastic deal for the quality of the location and service.

The amenities at the campground were also top-notch. There were clean restroom facilities, hot showers, and well-maintained picnic areas. The campground provided easy access to the water for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing on the beach.

Overall, I had an amazing experience at this campground. It's the perfect destination for nature lovers who want to be right on the water without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and affordable getaway

Nice park in a really cool location. The RV park is small, but the camping sites are pretty spacious. Lots of open areas all around the park. Park is very well maintained The park is pretty popular and sites can be hard to get. But, they have some boondocking sites that are awesome. That’s where we stayed because the park was full. We loved our site. The hosts, Cindi and Derrick, are probably the friendliest and most accommodating hosts we’ve ever met!!

The RV park is located at the north end of Fort Monroe with easy beach access. Fort Monroe is also a very neat place to explore and it even has a really nice brewery near the entrance!

Couple of downsides that are a function of location - not the park management. Mosquitoes and sand burs. Bug spray and a good breeze took care of the mosquitoes The burs were a problem for our dog, so we kept him on the roads and sidewalks as much as possible. Don’t let these deter you from checking out this awesome park!

This was a really nice place to stay! While the campground itself lacked things to do, It’s in a really great spot! It is located right next to a pathway along the water. Great views, and it’s a little more than a mile long (although the part of the walkway that is by the campground is blocked off from the rest of it.) Be aware that there are a ton of mosquitoes in the campground, bring some Bugspray! Also note that during the day you might hear fighter jets going around, but if you’re me, that’s a plus. There are ships that come in throughout the day, and usually at least one Navy ship per day. You should absolutely stop by if you love this stuff!

The tent sites are next to a bog and behind terrain that blocks wind from the sea. So mosquito heaven.

Port-a-potty only and they are serviced once per week. Also a bit of a walk.

Add to that the beach closest to the site is closed and no fire pits.

They also only had one pass despite a reservation for two trucks.

If you have an RV that contains everything it's probably nice. All others should avoid it.
