We are proud to announce our partnership with [Black Folks Camp Too]() and are now the first “unity blaze certified” collection of private campgrounds!
Being Unity Blaze Certified confirms that all 15 of our campgrounds and our team are committed to making sure all campers know “You are Invited and Welcomed” — the Unity Blaze motto. While Spacious Skies has always firmly held this belief, we wanted to go one step further in partnering with BFCT to make sure all campground staff completed the Unity Blaze training program.

Reading through the many great reviews on Spacious Skies Luray, there is not much we can say that hasn’t already been said. Being seasoned campers of more than 30 years, and having been to hundreds of campgrounds, we will say this is hands-down our favorite. Like everyone else, we love this place. We encountered an electrical problem with our RV, and Andrew the park manager was immensely helpful in getting the issue resolved quickly. We also love the newly installed internet; it is lightning-fast and makes streaming a luxury that we still don’t find at many campgrounds. Spacious Skies is everything it should be; well managed, well maintained, with friendly & caring staff that goes the extra mile to provide a pleasant camping experience.
Really wonderful spot! I bet this place is super busy in the summertime (I visited off-season, in January) but the views from anywhere in the campground of farmlands and surrounding mountains are lovely, and the layout is such that all campsites encircle a huge, grassy area full of activities. I saw cornhole, volleyball, a pool table, jungle gym, swings, etc. The loop around the park is also the perfect distance for a morning dog walk. Ownership has obviously put a lot of thought, care, and money into the establishment, as landscaping, layout, freshly painted picnic tables, FIBER INTERNET, etc all show a true, sustained vision of a park that offers it all.
Super clean shower house. Dog park. Laundry facility. The whole 9.
If only the local convenience store sold fresh fried chicken for that non-camp quick bite, this little slice of heaven would be absolute PARADISE, and I could stay here and never want for a single thing ever again!
Great campground! Location was perfect for going to the Caverns, Shenandoah National Park and the Washington Jefferson National Forest. The place was spotless and well maintained. Had everything we needed for tent camping, as well as some extras we didn’t expect. A dishwashing station with a microwave was very handy…but the neighboring farm animals were so entertaining! The staff was friendly and very helpful. We are already planning our next stay.
The best campground we have stay at!
Everything was very well maintained and clean. The dog park was spectacular. All guests were polite and friendly. The kids area and jumping pillow were perfectly situated in the middle so you could keep an eye on your children while enjoying your campfire at your site. The internet was very fast and reliable without an extra fee, for those that need it for remote work. The staff even put in some extra effort for some Halloween activities that were family friendly and not too spooky! The location had amazing views of the mountains and cows, and was conveniently located close to many attractions.
Great place!
Long story short booked a spot, day of our trip RV slide was stuck (motor broke). The staff accommodated us by switching from a RV spot to a yurt so we still could come to the area and have our vacation. Awesome staff, very nice place.
Our kids are grown so all the kid stuff, gem mining, arcade things didn't matter. We did use the pool a lot. Bath houses were clean even though we didn't use them.. I had to look. The farm animals right by the yurts was great. My wife loved that. It was very quiet and no issues the whole week we were there. People were friendly.
We were there in August of 23 and I'm planning to book a site this year to continue to explore the area more. 10/10 I will stay here again. We walked the loop and the RV sites look nice, a little close but not bad. Full hook ups with a patio, chairs and a fire pit. That's all you need. Wifi was a little funky to connect to but once you did it worked fine. Only bad thing I could say is we only had a week to try to do everything there is to do in that area.
