Take Natural Bridge Exit off I-81, Exit 175 northbound, or Exit 180A southbound, then 3 miles on Route 11 to Natural Bridge. Take Route 130 east 3 miles to Natural Bridge Station, 1.5 miles to the campground via right on Route 759 (Arnold's Valley Rd), first left after crossing river on James River Road (782).
We've stayed at other Jellystone parks and this one was a bit more expensive but also lax in terms of how it was run. This is great for some but perhaps less so for families. If we return, we'd definitely stay on the upper area (U- lots vs L- lots). As close as things look on the lower area, they are far apart because of the hilliness. FYI, I would not recommend the lower triangular lots - very unlevel and distant to most things aside from a mini-bath house. For what it's worth, the safari park nearby is awesome. A very worthwhile excursion!
I took my family camping/glamping for couple days to Jellystone Natural Bridge VA to see a few friends that have seasonal sites. The drive my family made was 8 hours one way. The campsite was just as expected. Very clean lots of open space. Some sites are very tight if you have slide outs. Make sure you reserve the right spot if you have slide outs. The cafe is clean and the staff is friendly with great service. The water park was closed because of the time of year we arrived. Seamed to be ok just on the small size. The bath houses were fine with endless hot water. The Halloween activities were amazing for all the ages of children. The trick or treating my kids couldn’t have asked for a more family fun time. It’s worth the time of the drive just to spend with your family. Great place with friendly staff.
We took our family of 5 kids 2 adults. We had an amazing time. Staff is incredible. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and staff made the experience they were friendly and just amazing. Also oldest is Autistic and they were so incredible with him he got to participate in everything. They made his birthday weekend extra special. Thank you so much we will definitely be back next year.
Went for a week of family fun turned into a nightmare. We decided to stay in a tent at first things were fine until we realized we were in for a week with little to no sleep thanks to the staff driving around blasting rap music at night. I mean I get teens are teens but when someone drives by my tent 5 times in a row at 1 in the morning blasting music I feel like it’s plain disrespectful I even politely complained to the lobby but no one seemed to care they already got my money. There wasn’t a lot to do and the arcade was attached to the laundry facilities We wound up packing up early and going down the road to a free national park to finish camping and had a blast. But I highly don’t recommend this place for a stay do yourself a favor and don’t waste the money
We love this campground! A family favorite, we've been coming here for years and look forward to returning. Great staff and wonderful location! Some of the cabins are on the rustic side and need a little updating but it's part of the camping charm. Don't hesitate to book!
