Great place, kind staff on the phone. They were not there very often at the camp store for questions/ concerns. The bathrooms were fine but could use more frequent attention from staff (paper towels tp refills etc) I would definitely visit again!
I cannot begin to say enough about this place. The acting managers Christian and Chris truly are amazing guys and they go above and beyond for each of the guests. The place is extremely clean in a truly wonderful location. The view is absolutely spectacular in every way and if you like Wildlife you will see Bears deer bald eagles anything you can imagine it is just spectacular. I highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody.
The Tour de Dirt Gravel event at Floyd Family Campground was spectacular! My oldest son and I decided to participate, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we've shared.
From the moment we arrived, the participants' and organizers' energy and enthusiasm were palpable. The trails were challenging yet exhilarating, offering a perfect blend of adventure and scenic beauty. The camaraderie among the riders was heartwarming, with everyone cheering each other on and sharing stories of their experiences.
The Floyd Family Campground served as an ideal backdrop for the event. It's natural beauty and well-maintained facilities added to the overall experience. But what truly stood out was the sense of community.
Everyone, from seasoned riders to father-son duos like us, were supportive and encouraging. It felt like we were all part of one big, awesome family.
The Tour de Dirt Gravel event was a fantastic experience I recommend to anyone looking for adventure, fun, and community spirit.
My son and I left with great memories, new friends, and a renewed passion for the great outdoors. Kudos to the organizers for such a well-executed event!
My husband and I stayed in one of their tiny houses for our one year anniversary! They have 2 options of rustic or modern, we chose rustic! The house was super roomy with a queen bed, a pull out couch, a loft area with 2 other mattresses, and a full size kitchen. The house was spotless and smelt so good. We had a great evening walking down town Floyd and ending the night watching football at Dog Town.
Stayed for two nights while passing through, wish we had stayed longer. This is a unique campground over a sprawling hillside piece of property. The views are extraordinary. The walking paths surround the site are easy to navigate. There’s a little dog run area that we used with our pup.
We were in full hook up site number 12 which was a pull through and was flat. We had very little adjustment to our camper.
It is quiet at night and dark. There was supposed to be a concert on Saturday night, but we must’ve missed it. The campground is easy access in and out. When we arrived, the check-in office was not staffed, but one of the managers or owners came by in a cart and welcomed us, and ensure we had what we needed. The bathhouse is adequate. Don’t expect anything special.
We will be back.
Highly recommended.
