I am from MN and recently took a road trip of CO! Sapinero was one of our stops. I am so happy it was! I truly enjoyed my time there and it was one of my favorite places to stay in CO! I stayed in the loft above the lodge. I was blown away by the beautiful views from our loft and all over the campground. The loft was spacious, clean and comfortable! I felt at home and enjoyed it! I also liked how the 2nd bed was almost in its own bedroom and away from the other area. The bedding was clean and comfy - even the comforters are washed! I enjoyed having breakfast on the deck and loved how friendly people were who came up to the lodge. The lodge is cute with bathrooms and an awesome game room. And my favorite part was the patio area. What a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy. There are also fun little cabins and every camp site has a fabulous view. I also had the opportunity to go down and be on the water! Beauty all around! So many great things to see and do around the campground! And the owners and workers were great! They have worked hard to fix up this unique campground and are very attentive and welcoming to their guests. I would definitely stay here again and hope to make it back! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

My husband and I spent the weekend here and had a great time! The Rota family are doing a great job and we can't wait to come back. We rented a camper and found it to be clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited our needs. The bathhouse is great!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sapinero Village Campground! We stayed in cabin 2. The cabin came with a stocked kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, etc. The bed was very comfortable. They had a small fireplace heater that heated up the room and also provided a fan! The views were unbeatable. It was a very quiet area and is close to the Black Canyon (highly recommend-so beautiful, great for hiking and sight seeing) and Gunnison (great for shopping and dinner/drinks). You can also rent kayaks/boats across the street at Lake Fork. There is a hiking trail behind the cabins that leads to great views. Overall, this was a great place to stay and would recommend to anyone!

First off, WOW! This is such a hidden gem for Colorado! The beautiful landscape of the large Blue Mesa Lake tucked in the hills of the Rockies. I went with my family and a few friends and there was something to do for all ages. We rented the apt for three days and it was definitely not long enough of a stay. We will be going back! It’s a beautiful drive from Denver and once you arrive it’s picture perfect where the campground is located on the lake. Kendal and Joe (owners) were such amazing hosts as well. They took us out in their boat, showed us their beach spot and had live music playing at night when we were done playing in the sun. If you have not experienced a visit to Sapinero Village Campground, I would highly recommend it! Book your stay today!

Glamping at its finest! Very cool, historical rustic cabins with amazing views! I’m usually a tent camper but not sure I want to use a tent after this experience. Cabin 2 was clean and very convenient - with a fridge, stovetop, running water and a cozy bed. Bath house was just a short walk down the hill. Close proximity to Black Canyon National Park - which is what inspired my stay. I’ll definitely visit again someday!
