Green Algea everwhere. People were fishing but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Water level was pretty low.

Spent 3 nights dry camping on the south side of Deweese Reservoir in our 37 ft class A motorhome. The one mile of gravel road was washboard rough but once situated in our spot overlooking the lake and mountains, life was good. Lots of privacy and the views were spectacular. The town of Westcliffe is about 15 minutes away and DeWeese seems to be a favorite local fishing spot. There is no cell phone reception anywhere in the area. There's not much to do in Westcliffe but if you're looking for a place to unplug, this works well.

Gorgeous lake with stunning views of the mountains. There are tons of camping/parking spots around the whole lake and access to vault toilets every now and then which is really nice. You’re only 5-10 minutes to town and Westcliffe is an adorable small town with lots of character.
