Riverside RV Park is such a pretty place. The staff (Denise) was super kind and friendly! The weather was perfect and the facilities were perfect. Thank you Riverside!!!
Went to a wedding in town and we were looking for a cost effective way to go and took our RV. Plus: quite-clean-our Host Denise was awesome. She helped us out above and beyond. We are self contained class C so we never used the restrooms or showers. The only thing I would say is it is a bit of a walk to the restroom/showers and that section of the old place is run down. If you are expecting a lot of frills, this is not your place. Want quite creekside with mature trees, and relatively convenient location to enjoy the outdoors of Salina at reasonable rates, you found it.
I would give this five stars or four stars depending on what your expectations are. The camp spot and campground in my opinion were amazing because of the tree coverage, the small community feel, and the people there. The camp host, Denise, is so friendly and amazing, she even walked us to our campsite. She made us feel so welcome! It was easy to book and I think it’s a reasonable price for what you get. We got water and electric and that’s all we needed because there were bathrooms on site. The bathrooms were not my favorite and could be updated, but I know they are trying their hardest to keep it as clean as they could with all the traffic. My son and I also enjoyed the walk to the bathhouse daily, by two ponds and over a bridge in up some cool steps surrounded by bamboo. And then when you get to the top there’s the beautiful mountain peaks .The campground is close to a bike trail that you can take about 10 to 15 minutes into the town of Salida or then you can get on the river and play all day. I will be going back to this campsite.
