Exploring the area within an hour of the park creates interesting possibilities for historic, nature, museum or amusement activities as well as early Texas history, nature trails, ornate painted churches, caves and scenic drives around the area.

Luling is home to world famous barbecue, and is the first stop on the Texas Barbecue Trail. There are also a good variety of other restaurants, grocery, gift and antique stores, hospitals, pharmacies, library with genealogical wing, oil museum, bowling alley, golf course, skydiving, airport, hang gliding, and parks. Zedler Mill park offers a slice of life from the early 20th century, and provides canoe rentals and shuttle service for the first inland river paddling trail established by Texas Parks & Wildlife.

Riverbend RV is a safe and quiet community surrounded by cattle ranches that supply the beef for the amazing restaurant conveniently onsite. It is a mile walk to the saloon that is also a hot spot for guests who stay at the park. We lived there for over a year. Majority of guests are full timers but there are several spaces available for daily and weekly guests.

There is laundry, mailboxes and showers available in the clubhouse next to the restaurant. The sites are all uncovered with no trees in the area. This is good when it storms so you don’t have to worry about anything tree branches falling on your rig, but the lack of shade can also drive up your AC bill in the summer.

The sites are about 20 feet apart so there is not much privacy in between rigs, but everyone seems pretty friendly.

Management is very friendly and does their best to keep things looking nice. Donna takes the time to personally contact you to let you know when you have any packages delivered to the office. They just added wifi via Ethernet so if you have a router you can get an even better connection then the already free wifi provided. All in all this was a great place to stay, simple and peaceful.

This is a little off the beaten path, but it is a quiet community and well laid out spaces made it great for a two night stopover to do Houston errands. Donna was so helpful and helped me on short notice. Facilities are good, I used the laundry room and app system worked great. Septic hookup was not easily accessed, at the far end of the space. I backed up and ran 20' of hose to take care of tanks the morning I left.

I'm bummed I didn't get to try the onsite restaurant. Burger menu looks amazing.

Rock sites, level easy in easy out pull thru. Clean, large laundry room. Donna the hostess was amazing. She sent detailed text on how to get to our sit, which I love as I do not have to find a pen and paper while traveling. We will go back again. We overnighted there and it was great

*Update from previous review. *

Came back for a longer stay (2 weeks) Donna was again helpful and accommodating when my schedule changed in the middle if my stay.

This is a quiet community. Facilities are great, plenty of full-sized washers and dryers. No problem with sewer hookup in second site with the 20' hose.

Flying Cow burgers are awesome!!!

Riverbend RV park is a good campground.

All in all it is pretty clean and the sites aren't bad for the price.

There are several, what appear to be, full time occupants in the park so you can expect to see a few sheds and things on the lots. Most are kept up.

There is also a restaurant on the grounds who has fantastic hot dogs.
