We love staying at Texas Wine Country Jellystone. The grounds are nice and the spots are flat which makes parking and set up easy. If you like music this camp is close to Luckenbach and Bankersmith. We always stay here when visiting Fredericksburg.

We usually go just for the day to enjoy the water park. It’s perfect for a 4 year old and a 1 year old. My only complaint is the lack of shade at the water park side and the pedestrian path to get to the water park is horrible. I usually take my stroller so my youngest can nap and the “road” if you call it that is rough. Then to get into the park there is no ramp to bring my stroller. I have to take my child out and carry it up 3 flights of stairs. I’m not sure how that’s passing code, not being wheel chair assessable. But the staff has only been nice when I’ve gone. My kids love the water park and it’s easy to have my 4 year old play while I have my little play in the shallow water.

For those who have visited a Jellystone location before, this location misses the mark when compared to other destinations. However, you can tell that this park is doing their best to cater to a younger audience, when very little options for children exist in Fredericksburg. We arrived late and found our paperwork was left out for us, easily located with instructions on the best way to reach our pull through site. Other than one maintenance worker clearing brush, staff members did not seem overly present, but this was an off period in December when very few other guests were here. We were surprised by the large number of full time RVs present, seemingly without children, though adults were not often found either. While we will likely return based on the kids activities, the costs compared to other resorts does leave one to question if better opportunities exist.

Camp site looked good but I only stopped for gas. Great store and the pool looked like great fun for little people. There was a water slide. If you like water slides it would be fun for adults too.

The tent camping area is clean but small. the comfort stations (restrooms/shower rooms) are well kept. The staff members are very friendly and helpful as it was our first time staying. I enjoy the fact that there are two playgrounds and the jumping pillow is amazing, it’s the largest and most plush we’ve ever seen. Rangers DJ and Jaidyn were wonderful during the hay ride. It’s cute, small resort but definitely packed with fun! We’re here during no-peak season but we’ll definitely be back!
