The lookouts around the Bitterroot are very special. A lot of them are well maintained and you can either rent them for a cheap price or snatch it if you're lucky and nobody is there, which I've been fortunate enough to be able to most times. Medicine Point is especially nice right now. I went here and stayed overnight back in June and it seemed like it had been recently painted and resupplied, it was in great shape. One hell of a view bottom of the Bitterroots behind Trapper Peak!
