Located 3 miles east from Columbus and 60 miles west from Houston. I-10 west: Exit 704, stay on feeder, park is on the right. I-10 east: Exit 699, cross over interstate, turn right onto feeder. Park is on the left.
Fire ant infestation. Friendly manager, Aaron. New ownership. Price for Passport America stated $20 but new owner upped the price to $30. Definitely overpriced even for overnight. Won't stay again. Reported to PA.
This place is right off the highway. We only stayed 1 night but the 3 people that I came into contact with was pretty pleasant. Basic amenities but right after the ice storm everything worked which most places around them didn't.
Let's start off by saying the owner is a really great person, always helping people in need. Maintenance guy was the best I have ever encountered. Its is just to small and cramped and the owner will not spray for the flies, roaches and now fleas. I was gone a month left my rv there and I just moved and the fleas where disgusting my rv is full of them you can not walk outside they covered the whole body. This is a health risk. And to the people there they have leaks on their water hoses and septic hoses and won't even fix them. Down right gross. Smells like sewage constantly and has water problems. Quick fix to lay your head but nasty.
Quaint locally owned RV Park that caters to long-termers but still perfect for an overnight stay with complete hookups and wireless internet for free. Aaron in the office was most hospitable and the price was right. Thanks for the nice overnight!
I really try not to review when I have nothing good to say, but this park was awful! The photos must be from years ago. It looked very different upon arrival.
The owner/host told us to call as we arrived we did and were told to use a certain space. The space had no visible sewer connection. We were told to “pick another space.” It was a rough travel day and we had prepaid so we did. I cleaned dirty socks and dog poop out of the best space we could find. I only wish I were kidding.
Leaves from fall (we visited in January) had never been cleaned up and made the entire area feel muddier and it smelled of cat urine from the multiple stray cats.
The location appeared easy on the map, but it was a distance off the Interstate so I can’t even say that worked out.
We also saw another couple start to come in and they chose to leave.
