One of my favorite places to get away awesome for the family great place for fishing and playing in the river rather not review and keep it a secret but I have to cause it a great park and the park keeper is cool and laid back but respect the park and make sure to pay the honor box in the front. Most definitely will return

Small tucked away slice of Texas Heaven. The gentleman in the office is a character and welcomed you with a friendly smile. Perfect day trip park

First, I want to say that the park host is the best! Super friendly and helpful!! Everything about this place was wonderful until we went down to the river without the park host. Not long and we were harassed by LCRA police. Don’t they have something better to do than to bother people that are quiet and minding their own business? Their behavior is disgruntling to say the least.

Small 40 acre campsite. Well maintained. Pond full of fish. Access to the Colorado river. Highly recommend life jackets for those with younger children as the current can be rather strong in areas here. Campsite 2 and 4 are by far the best sites. Both hacking shade. Plenty of wildlife to see. Cranes, snakes, cardinals, deer and coyotes. It seems to be a local hangout in the afternoon but didnt get crowded when we went. We were the only people camping overnight. Be aware that the bathrooms are locked due to current Covid-19 restrictions. There is a porta potty at the park entrance that was exchanged during our stay. Campsite hosts are extremely friendly and do a good job watching the property.

Nice out of the way spot to cast a line or just play in the river. Super-friendly volunteer at the gate as well
