Meet our Longhorns and get your breakfast eggs straight from our yard girls! All that and on nice evenings, we even have some local artists perform for us on our stage. We stayed here to be close to Luckenbach and the wineries. It is a beautiful campground! It's covered in mature oak trees, and there's plenty of room between rigs. Our check-in was easy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms and showers. We will be returning. We had a lovely visit.
We loved Bending Oaks!
The property is well maintained and managed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Whenever someone went by on the golf cart, they always asked if we were doing well and needed anything. However, they were also very aware when we were sharing some quiet time and respected our space. They even provide a trash service! At the end of our stay, we needed a small ladder and they were ready to help.
We felt safe at all times due to the security measures in place. Our spot was perfect with a cement patio, bbq, picnic table, and small table and chairs for two. We spent every evening there enjoying the sunset.
This location is perfect for anyone wine tasting as it is nestled between many fabulous wineries. It is close enough to Main St Fredericksburg to make it a quick drive or Uber into town but far enough out that you miss the hustle and bustle of the more touristy downtown.
We loved the 21 and over rule - although we love camping locations with kids, this was a quiet respite from early morning and late afternoon noise when we wanted some quiet time.
As for the cats - we occasionally saw them but were never bothered by them. They stay to the back of the resort. I love that the resort is being responsible for a situation they didn't create.
This is a beautiful location and we will definitely return.
Absolutely love staying here when in Fredericksburg! So clean, quiet and beautifully appointed with trees and nature. They are a 21 and over site and expect everyone to adhere to their policies which we love. Gated entry makes us feel so much safer leaving fire ring and chairs out while gone. The management/ owners are so nice and really want you to have a nice stay. Another bonus is that Bending Oaks is 6 miles from downtown Fredericksburg which is just perfect to enjoy the town and also little spots like Lukenbach nearby.
Beautiful campground with Old Oak Trees. Large park, not on top of each other. Staff made you feel at home. Plenty of space to walk the dogs
This is our go-to park for Fredericksburg. We've been going here for several years now and never leave disappointed. The setting is beautiful with large mature trees, is always clean and well-maintained. RV slots are spacious and typically quite level. Bending Oaks is also perfectly situated on Hwy 290, just outside of town and close to nearby wineries/breweries. The owners are friendly, helpful and do a great job of maintain a relaxing getaway. We look forward to our next stay!
