You'll never find a more welcoming RV Resort. From the moment we arrived we've felt so welcome. I had someone invite me to Water Volleyball and morning coffee while I was waiting for my wife to check us in. After checking in we meet Randy who's the activity director and he gave us a current events schedule and gave us a park tour. While on the tour we told Randy that we were planning on visiting other parks around McAllen and book next winter before we left. He told us that was no reason to look beyond Alamo Rose because it's the best park in the area. Within the week we decided to book next year at Alamo Rose. What a fun an amazing place with wonderful people. Thanks again to Randy for his tour and for the weeks worth of events that have kept us busy.

We spent 7 nights at this park as “Winter Texans” with our 37’ Travel Trailer. Everyone we spoke were really nice, kind and helpful, but… this place is scrambled.

Our site (while level and a concrete pad) was barely long enough to put our camper and vehicle in. It I had wanted to use our outdoor kitchen , I would have been standing in the street (corner lot). There’s a cash $20 deposit for a gate card which didn’t work, until the third try with getting the office to change the code on it. When we called the office trying to get help so we could get into the campground, we got voicemail on the call box. When I tried The phone number on Google, I got a message that there was no VM set up for the number. It took three tries to get the card fixed, I was grateful for the other residents that opened the gate for us. 🤣

We never did get an email confirmation with our arrival and departure dates. I did get email with the date we made the reservation tho. 🙄 And they do not reply to emails. Not even multiple emails.

This is a good location for getting to birding spots in RGV, but it’s pricey and we spent entirely too much time being frustrated by minor stuff like getting into the gate.

Great laundry! $1.25 per load. And be sure you pester to know what the rates are - published rates on the website are not what are being charged. We paid more than anticipated. Not by much, but again, minor stuff.
