Located 5 miles from McAllen and 40 miles from Harlingen. On the Rio Grande River at the end of South Conway, just 2 miles south of Expressway 83.
People are friendly nice campground quiet during the day . At night or early in the morning it can get busy at times busy with the border patrol on the Rio Grande chasing migrants coming into the us
great place to visit very clean inexpensive next to mexico on rio grande river with full restaurant has live music late staff is friendly bathrooms are cleaner than buckys
even saw people getting baptized in the river on the mexican side
Not a large park and only a few big rig friendly spots. The front of our RV was right at the edge of road. We had great difficulty getting into the spot cause of it’s tight location. Luckily a very friendly park and we had lots of help. Clean with good events and on the Rio Grande. Border patrol have a good presence and not far from restaurants and groceries.
We love, love, LOVE Chimney Park! We go down to visit my grandpa who winters in the park. It's a clean facility with lots of things to do! They have an awesome heated pool and hot tub that is well maintained. We enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets over the Rio Grande River. It's fun to be able to look right into Mexico. The border patrol use the boat ramp to put their boats in and out, so you'll see them often, but they are very friendly. Although it's right on the river, the park feels very safe. (Especially with the border patrol's presence.) The whole park is well maintained, and the chimney adds to the charm of the place. 10/10
They don't allow skoolies and were being ugly so I went to Oleander rv park, the people here are lovely... I'm so glad they turned me away...
