Be aware of the tides and high tide line when choosing a beach campsite. Strong winds or storms can significantly elevate tides and create hazardous conditions along the Gulf Coast.
Miles and Miles of driveable beach but be careful not to get stuck. Four wheel drive recommended, but have seem motor homes here. Also heard of motor homes staying over night and needing a tow truck in the morning because the tide came in. Great place to picnic, sunbathe, or have a beach party. Easy drive from Brownsville and road goes by the Space X facility owned by Elon Musk.
I love being able to drive up so close and walk on the beach even if the waves have been a bit strong for me. I plan to look for a low profile life vest in the future. Watch out on the road though. It was pretty torn up our last trip.

A very cool experience! It was awsome to see the SpaceX rocket so close also the beach was very pretty, I took these photos in mid 2020 when me and my family traveled there.
Awesome beach! It is very secluded, no bathrooms or amenities, but it is awesome to swim by the rockets! Drive your vehicle right onto the beach and drive north or south as far as you like. If you have little kids, you will need to look out for the cars occasionally.
