Tricorner Knob Shelter — Great Smoky Mountains National Park

First shelter I stayed in so far on the Appalachian trail. Not bad.

A great spot with well-maintained amenities. Only thing that would have made it better was if the other 70 hikers wouldn't have been there at the same time.🤪

Tricorner is a smaller shelter with the water source directly in front of the shelter, making a bit of a muddy mess. Decided not to stay and moved on to Davenport Gap. Cosby Knob was closed due to "agressive bear activity".

Stayed here during my thru hike in 2016. We had a persistent Bear that night and morning
