Great park, but recently poor service.

Made online reservation then quickly had to request cancellation within the 48 hour cancellation window. My fault here.

Called prior to reservation to decide if I should go anyways just in case. Was told I would be allowed to cancel, then when cancellation didn't go through, they told me I couldn't cancel. I'm out the cost and a night of camping. They pointed out it's my fault.

Update: After sending emails to a couple locations, they reached out to me and kindly resolved the issue.

The location is great and the nature scene is beautiful. Great walking trails.

However, the cleanliness needs to be stepped up, especially bathrooms, showers and laundry room. The laundry facilities and very outdated and the dryers take three times to actually get clothes dry.

Does feel safe with police and park rangers driving through.

For the price I expected better services within the park. The hiking and biking trials are nice, but the campgrounds leave a lot to be desired for $40 a night.

I stayed in the A loop. My campsite didn’t have a fire ring, just a hole dug in the ground. The shower/bathroom house looked like it hadn’t been inhabited since the 80’s.

Staff at the main office were very helpful and friendly. They definitely get 5 stars. Really, the only downside is the price for the condition of the campsites and camp shower houses.

We camped at the campground at the end of March 2023. We had a 30 foot travel trailer and our two kids (4 & 14). The weather was rainy and cold but we made the best out of it. The park size is great. They offer alot of activities like hiking/biking on the trails, paddle boating, archery and fishing. We did not participate in these activities since we didn't camp during the right season. We did walk the campground and my son loved playing on the big play ground with the other kids. The park felt safe as we seen the park ranger drive through several times during our stay. My only complaint is that MANY of the sites are extremely unlevel. We could not get our camper leveled side to side with our leveling system. It was like sleeping I'm a fun house. Other sites were unlevel front to back. To the extend that the front of their travel trailers were sitting on the ground. The sites were back-in down hill! I would suggest driving through the campground before camping. We were at site 116 and will never stay I'm that site again. Some of the sites we jotted down that we liked were B42, B46, B50, B51. However there were others that were level. We will go back during the warmer months to take advantage of the water activities we missed out on.

Easy to find, spacious, clean, and well maintained building. Two staff on duty on Sunday afternoon to check us into our campsite. They were friendly, quick and helpful. Nice big maps of the campground and park.
