Wow! This place is gorgeous. Helpful tip. If you're towing a camper, the road leading in from the north is challenging. I strongly recommend coming in from the south off of Highway 50
2 ponds for fishing, peddle boat, nice outdoor pool, great customer service!
Beautiful and quiet spot. Staying here for 2 weeks. Incredible rate. Full hook ups with 30A service and sites for 50A- but those are pull through, so since I was a longer stay, the owners gave me a large 30A site. There is wifi available but it is a bit slow, no worries though, I’m here for work. The campground is VERY clean. My rig is 32.5ft with 2 slides- getting situated in the spot was a bit of a chore due to the trees however once in, the site was mostly level, it took 2 leveling blocks on one side to be as close to level as possible. Overall I would recommend this campground and would stay again. As others have said it is in the mountains so use caution and take it slow and there’s no reason why a larger camper or even a 5th wheel couldn’t camp here :-)
I couldn’t recommend this campground enough. It is very small, extremely accommodating, and has almost every amenity large campgrounds have. The owner is extremely nice, caring, and wonderful to work with. It’s extremely cheap to stay here, and it is BEYOND worth every penny. Since buying a property out here, we camp here 3-4 times a year. We have only had incredible experiences and that is during summer, fall, and winter. ** i noted the pervious reviews stated they didn’t so, they now have wifi**
Again I cannot recommend this campground enough! Everyone should experience a campground like this one at least 1 time.
Between the helpful directions in our confirming email (and not the gps) and the clear signage approaching the campground, we had no trouble navigating to this CG on a foggy, rainy fall afternoon. The roads in the wooded CG are gravel with a few ruts. This area is mountainous, so you can expect winding, steep roadways. However, there’s something special about this campground. It is very tranquil and relaxed. Our hosts made us feel welcome and we have no specific example, but their love of the property is evident. Our stay was midweek after Labor Day so it was uncluttered by the typical noise of weekend campground activity. The CG has lawn games, playground equipment, a pool and hiking trails to a catch and release pond. Our shady, full hookup pull through site was near the barn where a couple of mules reside. Campers who are offended by the accompanying aroma should request a site assignment in another area. Verizon cell service is nonexistent, but T-Mobile was acceptable. Wifi is available to many of the sites, but if it’s a necessity, it may be worth mentioning when booking since the signal is stronger in some parts of the CG. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in the area.
